Episode One

My Pop Diary Episode One22 year old Melanie has wanted to be a singer for as long as she could remember. She wrote her first song when she was 3, about a drowning seahorse, and is embarking on a new poptastic singing career.

Kenny aka Kehinde loves recording and all things production. He spends a lot of time in the studio working on material to make his mark on the pop music world.

Bob Messenger is a 52 year old songwriter from Eltham who has written songs for 13 years but didn't know what to do with them, until a life changing experience put all things into perspective.  (Click on the image to watch it now).

  

Episode Two

My Pop Diary Episode TwoMusic producer Kehinde puts together a brand new track with the help of classical vocalist Kirsten Moore. Watch how he puts it all together.

Bob gets some news that will change his life forever and inspire him to write one of the most uplifting songs of the year.

It's all about style and fashion as Melanie discusses image with her producer Kehinde. She also gives you all a bit of a fashion parade. Not to be missed this one!

Episode Three

My Pop Diary  Episode ThreeMelanie records her debut solo single "Your Kiss" and as usual has lots of fun in the studio. This time she shows her belly dancing skills. Once recorded she shoots a music video for the song.

Kenny's new song revives an interest in singing and Kenny remembers the good old days of Vision of Heaven when his singing began to take shape. He then introduces us to the fabulous girls who will make up his new girl group.

Bob embarks on a new lifestyle to help deal with the cancer (post surgery). He has an optimistic and positive outlook on life and eats no processed or junk food. We also get to hear his song "I Drift Away".

 

 

Episode Four

My Pop Diary  Episode FourIt's World Cup fever and Bob Messenger tells us about the importance of soccer in his life. It was soccer that brought him and Kenny together sowing the seeds of the Bob Messenger Project.

Melanie & Kenny are in the studio selecting the single cover for Melanie's new single "Your Kiss". We also get a first look at Melanie's new video "Your Kiss".

We spend a day with Jess at the Melbourne Hair Show and Dominique is in the studio recording a potential first single for the 321! girls. She also shares an incredible story from her school days.

 

 

Episode Five

My Pop Diary Episode Five

 

Jess and Kasia are in the studio to record "Shine" the debut single for 321! and have a discussion about technology.

Bob's off to play soccer for Doc Utd and we get to hear his song Cinderella featuring Kehinde on vocals.

Melanie talks about the difficulties of getting models and dancers and is back in the studio recording a cool song "Lost in Translation".

Back in the studio Melanie decides to decorate the walls with some pop star posters from Smash Hits and other magazines (so that's how they got there ? Ed).

Kehinde catches up with Kirsty to discuss ideas for the music video to their song "Alright".

Bob talks about the music videos from the album starting with the song "Life".

  

 

Episode Seven

My Pop Diary Episode Seven

Kehinde revamps 321!'s single "Shine", slowing it down and changing the key. Dominique and Jess are in the studio learning and recording it and also give us their first interview.

Melanie and Kehinde hit the streets and ask the people of Melbourne what they think about Melanie's single "Your Kiss". They met some interesting characters, including 77 year old Victor who just couldn't stop dancing.

Bob recalls the 2009 bushfire disaster which subsequently inspired him to write the song "Surviving As One" with Kehinde, and the recording session featuring a choir of over 40 school children.

  

 

Episode Eight

My Pop Diary Episode Eight

 It's trains planes and automobiles this week as Bob shows us his rather impressive collection of model airplanes and trains. He also talks about his love for sports cars.

After the public gave Melanie's song "Your Kiss" the thunbs up, Melanie has her first radio interview with Glitter & Tonic on Joy FM, Melbourne.

The interview includes a pop quiz where Mel has to listen to 5 classic pop hits and name them. Watch out for an acoustic versionb of Melanie's single "Your Kiss".

 

 

 

Episode Nine

With Kasia and DomInique unavailable, Jess pops into the studio for a songwriting session with producer Kehinde. After a few attempts at writing, they have the makings of a brand new track.

Bob and Kenny return to the Samson Hill wineries where 2 years ago the seeds for the Bob Messenger Project were sown. He also gets out and about under Nilumbik skies.

Fresh from her interview on Joy FM, Melanie is back in the recording studio to record a new song Supernova. She then catches up with some friends for some Wii games.

  

 

Episode Ten

My Pop Diary Episode Ten

We go behind the scenes as Melanie films her latest music video for the song "Lose Yourself". The video takes an animalistic feel and Mel even gets some antlers ! Then the worldwide premiere of "Lose Yourself".

Jess is back in the studio with Kehinde, finishing off the song they began working on last week. After all the hard work it was time to unwind with a game of bowling.

To celebrate the completion of the album, Bob invites a few friends over to watch the music videos, enjoy some good food and to party. Find out what the guests had to say about the album and which songs they liked best.

 

 

Episode Eleven

My Pop Diary Episode Eleven

We take a look back at Bob's journey. A brush with cancer was the catalyst for the production of the album "Better Late Than Never". We also have another look at the music videos for "I SImply Love You", & "I Drift Away".

With the album almost complete, Melanie has another photoshoot. This time it is for the album cover. The shoot sees Melanie try a few different looks from cute, sexy and chic. The gold dress is amazing !

It's all about the music video for the song "We're Alright, featuring Kirsten Moore. The video has ghouls, imprisonment and details the struggle lovers face battling negative forces that threaten their relationship.
